Ideal for… a Healthy & Hearty lunch with your girlfriend.


Restaurant name and location: Baker & Spice – they have 3 locations, Souk Al Bahar, Dukkan Al Manzil & Marina Promenade.

Cuisine: European home cooked menu – Local & Organic.

Atmosphere: As I was there for a weekday lunch, relaxed with friends & colleagues having lunch – even spotted people lunching alone, the food is that good. They also have takeaway options.

What they say: Baker & Spice Dubai have set a new standard for ethical delicious food in Dubai. Our European heritage has been adapted to the Middle East to create a unique version of local soul food.

The heart of Baker & Spice is in the kitchen. The local markets dictate and we willingly follow on a daily adventure.

Our philosophy – local, organic, fresh and homemade – is a benchmark for excellence. The menu represents an exciting daily journey through the farms and markets of the UAE and the region, constantly changing with the seasons and availability of fresh locally grown and mainly organic ingredients. We offer diners an expeience with food in its purest and freshest form.


What to order:

-Bresaola with homemade labneh, lemon zest & olive oil (The best I’ve had!)

-Burrata (love Buratta, and this is a good one with pine seeds)

-Soup of the day – Lentil (delicious, flavorful)

-B&S Burger – horseradish and chunky chips (fresh burger with salad)


Service: Our waitress, Myrvik was hilarious and so cute – they call her betty boop!


What I loved:

-Everything is local, home cooked and Organic.

-The relaxed vibe and rustic tables.

-The Pomegranate syrup that comes with the Fresh bread – a good alternative to Balsamic.

-One of the best lattes I’ve had… Quality right there.

-They have a range of freshly baked cakes & pastries from a Hazelnut layered crepe cake to Almond & Chocolate croissant.
