Comments

Where? Spa Cordon, DIFC

Distinctive methods: You get a soothing massage at the beginning of every treatment to give the manicure a spa aspect.

Nail polish: CND & Zoya

Cost: For a CND Shellac manicure, 130 AED

Recommended therapist: Timi

Overall nail results: 8/10

Contact: www.spacordon.com

Where? Sisters beauty lounge, Dubai (they have branches all around the UAE)

Distinctive methods: They have the Brazilian manicure rather than the manicure method you’re used to. No water, no cream, no scrub, no cuticle softener. The whole manicure is done in a glove with a lovely smelling keratin cream which is multi used as a cream and cuticle softener.

Nail polish: Ciate and Essie and best of all – the CND Vinylux (7 day non chip) which is the same price as a normal manicure.

Cost: AED75

Recommended therapist: Rose at The Dubai Mall branch

Overall nail results: 9/10

Where? Nbar, Palm Strip (but they have branches all over town)

Distinctive methods: The typical hand soak, cuticle work, scrub and moisturise – they always do a great work with that though!

Nail polish: Essie & CND Vinylux

Cost: AED75

Recommended therapist: Mila

Overall nail results: 9.5/10

Extras:

-The service is always fab.

-They have the best magazines at the salon… from Vogue, Tatler to Harper’s Bazaar UK

-Relaxing and comfortable vibe.

Nail polish: OPI

Cost: AED80 for classic and AED85 for french

Recommended therapist: Millita

Overall nail results: 9.5/10

Extras:

-They have super cool pedicure chairs, which I must try.

-Millita gives perfect French manicures.

-They lacked magazines and entertainment, so I just stuck to emails.

Where? Lily Pond Spa (they have different branches but I went to their flagship at Al Barsha Mall.

Distinctive methods: Spa atmosphere, felt like I was getting a mani/pedi in Thailand, the method was File, soak, cuticle followed by a scrub and cream – all very fast and straight to the point.

Nail polish: Essie and CND Shellac

Cost: AED50

Recommended therapist: Mary Ann and Myra

Overall nail results: 9/10

Extras:

-Fastest manicure I’ve had

-The spa element makes it more of a pampering treatment.

-As it’s pretty much a spa, don’t miss out on one of the best head and shoulder massages with Rose.
