Five Favorite Beauty Buys: April 2020
Primer: Laura Mercier primers
I was so excited for this launch. You know the primer is going to be good if Laura Mercier is launching it. I have yet to wear them under all day make up – been giving my skin a break during this quarantine. They’re all water-based, so they feel good and hydrating on the skin. Depending on your skin needs, they have a hydrating, blurring, illuminating, perfecting and protecting – of course my favorite one is illuminating.
Hair Treatment: Kerastase 8H Magic Night serum
This truly is magic – I’ve been using this every other day on my ends before going to bed. A leave-in overnight serum that helps nourishing dry hair. Ingredients include Iris root extract, which coats hair fibers over 8 hours, and also has a five vitamin blend to seal roots.
Dry Shampoo: Briogeo Scalp revival
I discovered Briogeo when I fell in love with their cult hair mask, and ended up trying a few other products. The charcoal and biotin caught my eye with this dry shampoo. The charcoal is great for detoxifying your scalp, cleanses and balances – especially great if you have oily hair. The biotin is great for strengthening your roots – helps with hair growth and thickness.

Drugstore buy: Maybelline Age Rewind concealer
I rarely ever find a drugstore beauty product I love enough to rave, and this Maybelline concealer is definitely at the top of this list. Conceals, and gives you a radiant finish (it’s infused with goji berry). Love the sponge applicator, as it blends it all in for you without a brush.
I got it from nisnass.com
Toner: Pixi Milky tonic
I have newfound love for toners, and tend to apply a few during the day depending on how my skin is looking and feeling. For something hydrating and soothing, I like this one from Pixi’s Milky collection – smells so lovely and is infused with oat extract and jojoba.
