Beauty launches for October 2016

Beauty is generally a very exciting industry – constantly launching innovative and new products. Here are a few exciting ones that have just launched.

Face Wipes: Clinique Take the Day off Wipes

I’m used to generally buying drugstore brand wipes, and thought I’d give those by Clinique a try. Comes in pretty purple packaging, and with 50 wipes a pack, they do last a while. A little different to other wipes, those Clinique ones are soaked with micellar cleansing liquid (yes, what Bioderma uses) and can be used on the face as well as the eyes. For me, the re-sealable packaging makes this pretty amazing to carry around, as most of my wipes tend to dry out very quickly.

Lipliner: Hudabeauty Lip Contour

Those or Hudabeauty does not need an introduction. My longtime friend and beauty guru, Huda Kattan has launched her range of Lip Contour pencils this year. As someone who loves wearing lipliners instead of lipsticks on their lips, this is great. It does have more pigment than other pencils, so you really do need to make sure you cover all your lips – and it does glide on easily. My favorite shade is Bombshell, which is a gorgeous pink nude.

Mascara: Rimmel London Volume Colourist

There’s something about drugstore brands, and how they create some of the best mascaras. I’ve been using this one by Rimmel quite a bit this month, and it’s great – and does the job. An exciting and innovative addition is the fact that this mascara tints your lashes over time – so the more you use it, the more it adds a semi-permanent tint to your own lashes. I have black lashes, but still feel like this is great on my lashes, because darkening your lashes gives more of a thickness effect to them.

Eyeshadow: Anastasia Beverly Hills Master palette by Mario

One of the most awaited beauty launches this month – the limited edition palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills in collaboration with celebrity make up artist, Mario Dedivanovic. The palette includes 12 colors (a mix of matte and metallic finishes). Highly pigmented formulas in a straight to the point palette – everything is made without parabens and sulfates. There’s also one named after Kim, in a gorgeous tan color, which makes for a beautiful neutral shade.

Concealer: Kat Von D Lock it concealer creme

I must say, I do get excited for anything Kat Von D launches, because you know it’s going to actually be a good product. I love the newly launched creamy concealer, which lasts all day with full coverage – brightens the undereyes, covers any imperfections and blends easily. Topping it off with a skincare element, the concealer includes Hydra-Boost complex, a formula which helps with hydrating delicate skin and avoiding creases on the skin.
