Restaurant Review: Fume, Dubai
Ideal for… an Urban style meal
Restaurant name and location: Fume, Pier 7 Dubai Marina
Cuisine: Global mix
Atmosphere: uber cool and casual
What they say: No bells, whistles or flashing lights, just wholesome food from around the world.
Fume Dubai at Pier 7 is the brainchild of JAS Hospitality – a Dubai-based hospitality development and management studio – dedicated to bringing compelling food, immaculate service and glamorous design to Dubai and the region.
The first of its kind in the region, Fume offers uncomplicated yet delicious food with a global twist. Our 140-seat licensed restaurant can boast not only homely cooking, but has been designed as a local neighbourhood eatery with rustic beams and whiskey barrel floors. Fume is a hub for the community, offering exceptional and uncomplicated food from around the world with a welcoming atmosphere.
What to order:
-Calamari (with a side of Thai chili sauce – the best calamari I’ve had)
-Beetroot salad (a special topped with house radish cream)
-Beef brisket (bun, tender beef with smoked pepper sauce)
-Mac and cheese (good but heavy, creamy and cheesy)
-Portobello mushroom side
Service: Great – our waitress, Lily was adorable and helpful.
What I loved:
-The urban interiors, very cool restaurant (including the bar area!)
-They have an in-house magician as a form of entertainment.
-One of the hottest casual restaurants at the moment, fab energy and atmosphere.
What I didn’t love as much:
-They don’t take any reservations.
-They are the only restaurant in Pier 7 that don’t have valet – so you’ve got to park within Dubai Marina Mall (which must be a nightmare during the weekend!)
Bill for two: AED150
