Where: The NYLA house is a Jumeirah mansion right next to Spinneys Umm Suqeim.

What: An intense hour workout – Barre. (they also do Strala yoga and HIT classes – High intensity cardio classes)

Type of workout: They specialise in barre – ballet inspired pilates.

What it helps: Tones up the full body as well as lengthening the muscles. It really does work every part of the body from abs, bums, thighs to arms.

The Studio: I have to stay the NYLA house is one of the most amazing studios I’ve ever stepped foot in. More like a mansion, the house has 3 studios, a retail space, a cafe, a hang out area as well as a blow dry bar and spa opening soon.
Changing rooms: Changing rooms, showers and toilets with toiletries by REN skincare, Kiehl’s and Aveda.

Amenities: They give you a towel, but you have to purchase VOSS water, NYLA towel and barre socks.

Parking: They hair their own dedicated parking in-house.

Recommended Instructors: I was really impressed with NYLA’s instructors poached from the UK and the US – everyone is certified and has been teaching barre for some time. I’ve yet to take a class with Brittany but Stef, who’s Australian is from Barrecore London – high energy, adorable, and really knows her stuff (she helped me stretch out the muscles I had issues with), Brittany is super cute from California – really pushes you on a physical and mental level, hilarious and expect some booty shaking. Jessica, from Miami is incredibly lovely, and great at correcting her students (I love how she remembers everyone’s names from the first time)

-Each class is slightly different, so it doesn’t get you bored very quickly.
-The gorgeous pink theme! Their mats and weights are pink too!
-They have online booking available for their classes, which makes things easier.
