What: Motion Ladies Fitness Centre in Jumeirah
Type of workout: They have a range of different classes from Booty Barre, Pilates, Yogalates, Latin Cardio to high intensity cardio and strength.
What it helps: Something I loved about Motion is the range of workouts you get from the classes – high and low, strength and cardio.
The Studio: very cosy, feels like a home. Super super clean! They have a kitchen with refreshments, a living room with magazines.
Changing rooms/Amneties: Squeeky clean – changing rooms, showers, lockers, toilets and towels.
Parking: Clients can park right outside the villa, never had an issue.
Recommended Instructors: They are all fab but I highly recommend you try one of the co-owners, Sandra – she is amazing, pushes you to your best and is really helpful.
My favourite classes:
-Pilates Toning (Mat pilates with a ring and major core balance training)
-Reformer Pilates (A small class so Sandra, the instructor and co-owner really keeps an eye on you, helps you and pushes you to the best of your abilities – A fab reformer class!)
-Flexibar (Full body workout, tougher than your typical pilates class. The class is a mat pilates type using a bar called the Flexi Bar that you vibrate for the full class, this helps you target deep tissue muscles and strengthens the core muscles.)
-You really feel a sense of belonging and the studio feels like your own home. I loved the fact that all the ladies whether the owners, trainers, receptionists to the cleaner all knew the client’s names and knew a lot about each other.
-I’ve been to gyms that I’ve found out a class was cancelled after getting to the gym. I appreciate how they personally texted me for a class cancellation.
-I’ve had some issues with my back during core exercises, so Sandra sat down with me post class to show me moves to do at home as well as printed out illustrations with descriptions.
