The Masters of Fragrance Gala, Abu Dhabi.

Comments

I just got back from Abu Dhabi where I spent a full two days working with DFS – Duty Free Shopping – as a Key Opinion Leader/influencer for their Inaugural Masters of Fragrance exhibition. As soon as I arrived to Abu Dhabi, I headed to the Park Hyatt for my briefing session with the team before heading back to my lovely look with an office patio (who doesn’t love to work with a gorgeous view?) and leaving for the media dinner at Monte Carlo beach club over delicious Arabic food (Mezza starter, couscous and beef for the main followed by a range of Arabic desserts).

The next morning started with hair & make up with Nickol W & Kristen before heading to the Masters of Fragrance Media forum which took place at FANR, Manarat Al Sadiyat – the session was attended by International and local press and consisted of a tea time journey where we were introduced to the fragrances by Fragrance expert, Michael Edwards interviewing the brand ambassadors whilst we ate a savoury and sweet snack with ingredients that made up the scent before the media were able to check out the final reveal Exhibition. This was followed by a Ladies High tea which was a similar concept amongst the most VIP women in Abu Dhabi. The day ended with the Gala cocktail at exhibition space which was attended by the best of the best (a super fun party whilst people were able to check out the exquisite fragrances). During the event, I also met the Dior nose as well as brand ambassadors that flew in and came to Abu Dhabi especially for the event.

The highlight of this event for me? Getting to see one of a kind pieces (as well as my favourite fragrances turned into pieces of Art – Thierry Mugler’s Alien & Dior’s J’adore Dior – two fragrances I constantly buy), getting to join the DFS team on this exciting inaugural project – who were such an inspiring team… those people work with so many different markets across the world, so I was definitely most interested speaking to the head of merchandising on the differences within beauty markets in Asia, Middle East and the US. Lastly, It was also such a pleasure to meet the Fragrance wheel founder, and Fragrance author & expert, Michael Edwards. Not only is he super charming (loved his talks at the events) but such a lovely man, who really knows every single thing and every fragrance brand – he also made me realise I had a fine love for Tuberose.

What a lovely two days DFS… Enjoy my picture diary above.
