Ideal for… A casual lunch with a meat lover.

Restaurant name and location: West 14th at Oceana beach club, The Palm Jumeirah

Cuisine: Steakhouse

Atmosphere: Casual during the day, people coming up to have lunch from the pool. I was told it’s a lot more fancier for dinner.

What they say: Adorning the outskirts of West 14th, is the bar deck, overlooking the stunning view of the glitzy Dubai Marina’s skyline. Casually cool, the bar deck is a perfect place to indulge in delicious Caipirinhas, Mojitos and the other cocktails and wines while watching the sun setting over the Arabian Gulf.

What to order:

-Sticky calamari (delicious, delicious! Calamari with sweet chilli and roasted nuts)

-Gem cob salad (blue cheese, lettuce, caramelized onions and pear- refreshing

-West 14th burger

-All American cheese cake with lime and mascarpone (love a good classic cheesecake.)

Service: 7/10

What I loved:

-They have a live jazz band in the evenings.

-They have their own self parking! A definite plus with all those parking issues in Dubai.

-Juicy and fresh meat for those meat lovers.

-Beautiful Palm skyline

Bill for two: AED500
