On my Plate: Claw BBQ, Dubai.
Restaurant name and location: Claw BBQ Crab shack & Grill at Souk al Bahar, Downtown Dubai
Cuisine: They say American BBQ & Seafood, but it’s more like Southern American Diner.
Atmosphere: We went on a Wednesday night, it was buzzing and packed. Heard it’s quite difficult getting reservations on the weekend, so make sure you book in advance. I love the touch of the Neon signs and bumper plates.
What they say: CLAW is the incarnation of America’s favorite style eatery featuring Southern hospitality at its best.
What to order:
Onion ring tower
Spicy jumbo prawns (spicy but delicious, possibly the best plate I had!)
Southern fried chicken wings
Sloppy Joe (My first Sloppy Joe, and it was worth all that slop…)
Banana burrito
Pecan pie
Dosarita Drink (Frozen Margarita and Beer concotion)
Service: Our Server, Donovan was sweet, cool, interactive and on it.
What I loved:
-The music was great – pop songs I haven’t heard in a while.
-The atmosphere was fun… casual, but fun.
-The Bull ride. I don’t know other places in Dubai that have it, it was a fun touch post dinner.
What I didn’t love as much:
-Not much, but a place not to visit if you’re on your diet!
Bill for two: AED350
