I recently had the opportunity to get a backstage pass and tour what goes on behind the scenes at the Michael Jackson Cirque de Soleil tour as well as watch their rehearsals. After touring the whole of North America, Europe, Asia and New Zealand – It’s finally here in Dubai, thanks to Duvent Events, and is showing at the Sheikh Saeed Hall at the World Trade Centre, Dubai. Paying homage to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, this Cirque du Soleil was the Number 2 tour on Billboard’s Top 25 World tours in 2013 and started showing at the World Trade Centre here in Dubai on the 30th of December and will be going on till the 14th of January 2014.

The Director, Costume designer, Props Director are just a few of the cast that have worked with Michael. I had the chance to check out the costume wardrobe – which was ginormous with interesting pieces like the Michael Jackson jacket and a jacket filled with the white gloves. The show features 250 outfits, and the cast actually learn how to do their own make up so they end up doing it themselves before the show.
