On my Plate: Royal China, Dubai
Me and my best friend constantly crave good Chinese food. Having been to Royal China in London, I had to check out their branch in Dubai for the first time so we headed there for a casual catch up lunch.
Restaurant name and location: Royal China, DIFC.
Cuisine: Chinese
Atmosphere: I came on a weekday when most offices were closed for Eid but by 1 30pm, the restaurant was slightly full.
What they say:
Authentic Chinese restaurant, located in the heart of DIFC Dubai, renowned for our dim sum and speciality teas, as well as our large private dining room.
What to order:
Crispy shredded beef served in Bird’s nest (this was perfection, crispy and a tangy spice)
Sweet & sour chicken (one of the best sweet and sour chicken I’ve had.)
Prawn & chive dumplings
Vegetable dumplings
Service: Great – the servers & manager were just super lovely.
What I loved:
-They have a Dim Sum menu that comes with the normal menu. If you’re a dim sum fan like me, this is a dream.
-They have lots of vegetarian options – so don’t worry if you don’t eat meat.
-Vast menu – There were more things I wanted than didn’t want.
-You have an option of Chopsticks or a fork & knife. Love when Asian restaurants do that!
-Just really good Chinese food.
Bill for two: 350AED
