On my Plate: Baker & More, Dubai
I recently headed to Baker & More with my grandma for an early lunch. She loves fresh salads and food, so thought this would be the perfect time to check it out. Baker & More consider themselves a coffee lounge, but you could also just come in for a full morning breakfast (they have an egg station) or a light salad, gourmet sandwich or wrap lunch.
Restaurant name and location: Baker & More at Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai
Cuisine: Coffee lounge
Atmosphere: Half full but Quiet, which is quite nice for a mall even though the coffee shop is open space.
What they say: A social dine-in coffee lounge that serves a range of delicious delights from pick-me-up gourmet sandwiches and authentic deli-wraps, to specialty smoothies and homemade cakes. The ‘Bakers’ will make you some of our freshly baked signature buns, while our “Baristas” will tell you about our aromatic coffees and fine teas… and don’t forget about all-day breakfasts from our legendary egg station!
What to order:
-Oriental Chicken wrap (grilled asian style chicken glazed in honey and soya with fresh mint – comes with french fries and a salad)
-Dive in Tuna gourmet sandwich (with pickles)
-Nutella stuffed buns (freshly baked, they bake them there. worth visiting just to have!)
-Macarons (I had no space for macarons, but being a macaron fanatic – I took some to go, delicious.)
Service: it wasn’t full, and the place had more than enough staff. Great service, but felt slightly rushed with ordering and my plates getting taken away before my grandma finished.
What I loved:
-Their Packaging and typography, first thing that drew me to the lounge!
-That they serve all day breakfast.
-A healthy and delicious stop in a mall is always appreciated
What I didn’t love as much:
-excessive sauces – my wrap was soaked with sauces. I like my wraps simple and easy to eat.
Bill for two: Around AED100.
