Highlights of my month: January 2013

Introducing a brand new feature where I will be highlighting a few cool things I’ve experienced during the month that I have not exactly blogged about…

-101 at the One & Only
I recently hosted an event at 101 Prive at the One & Only hotel on the Palm.  Open air lounge by the water and the view is just divine. A great place for a party venue or a night out with friends. Look out for the pictures from my event for a better look of the venue. I felt like I was suddenly in the Maldives. For more details, click here

-Music Hall, Dubai
Music Hall just opened at Zabeel Saray in Dubai from Beirut. I’ve never been to the one in Beirut but I was super impressed with the one in Dubai. Whether you’re someone that likes to have a good night with music and drinks, or you’d like to catch up with a friend, or hoping to get out and dance the night away. This is rolled into one. We had a table with comfy sofas… There were a number of performances with drinks and little snacks. The venue is beautiful too! For more details, click here

-Royal Opera House, Muscat
When I was in Muscat for Fashion Week, we headed to the Opera house for a contemporary dance show. One word, WOW. This should definitely be at the top of you’re list if you are visiting Muscat anytime soon.

-What goes around comes around at HN
I love Vintage accessories, and if there was a brand that had to join the top of my list, it would have to be Chanel. I recently attended a Vintage session with WGACA’s founder, Seth Weisser at Harvey Nichols, Dubai. I’m super excited they are stocking a large curation from the brand & I’m sure they are going to sell out fast. For more on the brand, click here
-Cinnamon Roll bread at Grand Hyatt, Muscat
When I was in Muscat, I stayed at the Grand Hyatt, and I must say one of the best part was the breakfast – they had cinnamon roll toast bread! It tasted like a Cinnabon roll except it looked like a toast bread. If you head to the hotel, make sure you pop in for breakfast just to try them… so good.

-Benefit brow bar at Sephora
Benefit cosmetics opened up a really fun brow bar within their Dubai Mall store. It looks like a retro parlour bar in the middle of the store – they use wax instead of threading, but was super impressed with the service. Try to come in first thing in the morning so it’s not too busy while you get those eyebrows done…

-Movie: Chloe
I recently watched Chloe on TV one day – I’ve been wanting to watch this thriller for ages, and I finally had the chance, stayed up till 4 30am to watch it.  a huge fan of Liam Neeson, Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried. Check out the trailer above.
