As a Pilates practicer for years now, I have been meaning to try out Ten Pilates for a while now. Ten Pilates is a celeb favorite in London and hold reformer pilates and cardiolates classes. I recently headed for my first class at their Notting Hill branch – I was welcomed by a super helpful and sweet receptionist and filled out a registration form, whilst enjoying the great variety of fashion magazines in their lobby entrance. I then headed over to the reformer pilates class for my session.
I’m a huge fan of Reformer pilates & actually quite prefer it to Mat Pilates – Not only do I feel like you get the posture benefits of pilates, you also come out working more than your core so it is a great full body workout! The studios are great, clean and spacious – one of the best I’ve seen! My class was taught by instructor, Danny who was great, hands on and had the perfect playlist to work out to!
I came in for a 2nd class – Cardiolates and wow, what a workout! The class starts with half an hour of spinning with amazing music that you want to rock out to, followed by 20 minutes of reformer pilates work on the machine and ends with a 10 minute stretch which is something that spinning classes don’t usually do but is super important!
Do any of you practice Reformer Pilates? thoughts?
