Five Favorite Beauty Buys: February 2018

Skincare: Dr Lancer Caviar Lime acid peel
One of the top LA dermatologists, I really couldn’t wait to get my hands on his products. I rarely find beauty products – especially skincare legendary but this is truly amazing, An at home product, with 10% glycolic acid, 10% phytic acid and retinol – this was nearly as good as the light chemical peels I have done at Rebecca Treston’s. Smells lovely (lime to be exact), you apply on cleansed skin for 10-15 minutes and my skin was glowing. Extra points for the product not drying the skin (which is quite a common con in peels).
Available at Harvey Nichols, Ounass and Bloomingdales.

-Fragrance: Mugler Aura
This fragrance is finally available in Dubai. Just a heads up, Thierry Mugler makes one of my all time favorite perfumes – Alien so I couldn’t wait to try this out when I heard they were launching a new scent. When I read that it as a sweet fragrance, I didn’t think it was one I’d like but I loved it – which is most probably because of the vanilla and white floral top notes.

-Range: Cliniquefit
As someone that works out 5 days a week, Clinique’s Cliniquefit range is genius. A lot of the make up products have SPF, are lightweight, sweat-proof and won’t clog up pores. I’ve been throwing the post-workout face + body cleansing swipes in my handbag for when I need to rush to a meeting right after a workout (which happens on a daily basis).

-Lips: Natasha Moor liquid lipstick in Fire Within
A lot of the brands I discover are thanks to social media. I was recently introduced to a make up artist based in Hong Kong’s beauty brand, Natasha Moor. Been wearing her liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Fire Within’ this month, which I’m loving. Highly pigmented, light and incredibly long lasting. The shade is a beautiful taupe/purple shade that’s perfect for Fall.

-Highlighter: Jeffree Star skin frost in King Tut
Another brand I’m excited to have in Dubai – Jeffree Star. I was excited to try the brand because of I could just imagine how pigmented the products would be and I was right. This highlighter can be used wet and dry (I tend to use both a wet and dry formula for lasting power). The King Tut shade is a beautiful bronze/rose gold color and extra points for the product being vegan, paraben and cruelty-free.
