Chic Stay: Hotel Indigo Lower east side, NYC

The hotel: Hotel Indigo, Lower East Side, NYC
The Location: In the trendy East Village, Lower east side area – on Ludlow street to be exact
The design: This is the first time I’ve stayed in a Hotel Indigo, and I must say I was impressed, it definitely is one to many stays to come… Each Hotel Indigo property is inspired by the neighbourhood it’s in – using artists from that area. The murals on the ceilings by Lee Quinbones are worth checking out.
The room: Ultra modern designs, with floor to ceiling windows to show off the incredible views. The minibar includes a graffiti can cocktail shaker, with six point beers and stumptown cold brew.
The toiletteries: Boutique hotels always have the best toiletries. Hotel indigo Les have C. O. Bigelow – an American pharmacy based in Greenwich village, and is the oldest surviving apothecary in America – they smell so good.
The restaurants: The hotel has one of the hippest bars in the lower east side – Mr Purple. Always buzzing, a place to grab a cocktail and take in the views. They also serve bites, and brunches alongside drinks.
The coffee: One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the cafe on the lobby level – which had some good coffee (the hotel uses Irving Coffee roasters) and also sell Liquiteria pressed juices.
The spa: No spa
The pool: The pool is not that large, but the terrace with the most incredible views is worth spending some time at the pool during the Summers.
The gym: They have a 24 hour fitness centre, which i didn’t have the time to check out.
