Restaurant Review: Zheng He’s, Dubai
Ideal for… a special evening over Chinese food
Restaurant name and location: Zheng He’s, Mina A’Salam Hotel on Al Sufouh Road
Cuisine: Chinese
Atmosphere: A different atmosphere to what you usually see in Dubai, there were tourists, expats, and locals (a Sheikh’s right hand was there).
What they say: Now open in Jumeirah Mina A’Salam with a new dining experience inspired by the historical Chinese explorer. Revisit classic, Chinese dishes contemporised with neo-oriental flair. Meet the resident duck-master, discover the inspiration behind the signature ‘Fortune Beggar Chicken’, and explore the intricate flavours of this unique Chinese fare.
What to order:
-Golden Prawns (I loved this starter, that comes with Chinese mustard and spicy mango)
-Crispy beef sirloin
-Dim sums (I had the vegetarian, spiced spinach dumplings and they were perfect)
-Sweet and sour chicken (a decent portion, a gourmet and delicious version of sweet and sour)
-Beef tenderloin with black pepper sauce (another favorite, and the beef was quite tender)
Service: Ace service, thank you Naveen for taking great care of us!
What I loved:
-If you get a table outdoors, you have some of the most incredible views
-Caramelized cashews instead of bread once you arrive.
-As it’s a licensed restaurant, you can enjoy a glass of wine with your Chinese food.
Bill for two: AED707
