Ideal for… a happening spot in the Marina area by Michelin Star chef, Jason Atherton
Restaurant name and location: Marina Social, InterContinental Hotel, Dubai Marina
Cuisine: British
Atmosphere: Marina Social is a buzzing new restaurant at the moment, so I recommend you book in advance if you are heading there on a weekend.
What they say: Marina Social is Dubai’s hottest new restaurant by acclaimed Michelin-starred British chef Jason Atherton. Situated in the InterContinental Dubai Marina, the restaurant celebrates deformalized dining within a relaxed, social atmosphere and offers stunning panoramic views of the waterfront, overlooking the buzzing marina.

What to order:
Burrata (served inside a tomato with tomato salt)
Garlic flatbread with a side sauce of pistachio and feta
Beef tartare (an interesting mix of egg yolk, horseradish, truffle sauce and homemade ketchup)
Wagyu beef with truffle sauce
Sweet corn ice cream, salted caramel and sweet popcorn
Glazed Tarte tatin (upside down Apple tart)
Service: Tiffany, our server, took special care of us and was great at recommending dishes.
What I loved:
-The first venture from Michelin-starred chef, Jason Atherton (he’s the same chef behind the famous Pollen St Social restaurant in London)
-The restaurant is a tapas-style concept, so all the dishes are made to be shared.
-This Intercontinental hotel to be specific, feels very boutique like, which was quite nice, and this restaurant is a great portrayal of that.
Bill for two: AED700
