Five Favorite Beauty Buys - September 2015

Lips: Fresh Sugar Nude Tinted lip treatment

There’s nothing worse than dried lips, so I always make sure every handbag has a lip balm. One of my favourites is this one by Fresh – definitely one of the most luxurious in terms of the packaging, scent and buttery feel of the lip balm.

Skincare: Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel

If you regularly get blemishes, this is a skincare product for you. The Shiseido Ibuki multi solution gel helps shrink blemishes. Ingredients include salicylic acid and peony-root extracts that help smoothen the skin as well as prevent clogging up pores.

Moisturizer: Guerlain Meteorites moisturizer & radiance booster

Of course I had to add a radiance product. A part of Guerlain’s illuminating range, Meteorites – this fluid moisturiser is super light, smells so good and gives your skin a radiant finish. I probably wouldn’t use this if my skin is dehydrated or before I go to bed but definitely as a base before make up or without anything during the daytime.

Contour kit: Smashbox Step-by-step contour kit

I’m no expert once it comes to contouring so if I’m going to own anything to contour at home, it’s going to have to be easy to use. I like this kit by Smashbox – it teaches you how to define and sculpt your face and has 3 shades to make this dummie-proof – the contour shade, the bronzer and the highlighter. Personally I like starting with a cream stick before starting with the powders, but the kit is buildable. It also comes with a little brush so it’s perfect to carry around as well.

Foundation: Clinique Beyond perfecting foundation + concealer

This is probably one of Clinique’s cult products that launched this year and I love it. I’m not too fond about having the same product as a foundation and concealer as the under eye skin is a lot more finer and delicate – however this definitely is a great idea if you’re traveling and want to limit the beauty products you carry. The coverage is quite lovely – moderate to full, yet feels quite light on the skin and gives a lovely matte finish. The applicator is a great way to conceal any extra areas that need concealing.
