Five Favorite Beauty Buys - August 2015
Nail: Nailstation polish in Bikini
I’m having an obsession with pale pink nails at the moment. There’s so much that goes into finding the perfect pale pink, something light, something not too light and something that’s flattering. CND Vinylux’s Cake pop shade is wonderful, and I’m also using Nailstation’s Bikini shade right now.
Fragrance: Byredo Gypsy Water
One of the cult scents of fragrance brand, Byredo. I tend to only go for floral fragrances but I like to wear Byredo’s Gypsy water for a clean summer day scent. Quite subtle, it smells woody with hints of Bergamot, lemon and pepper – it reminds me of nature.
Eyeshadow: L’Oreal La Palette Nude in ‘Beige’
One of my favourite eyeshadow palettes is the Urban Decay Nude palette, this one is great as a lower priced version. Starting with a nude, it goes all the way to some warm browns, darker browns and ends with a black for the perfect brown smokey.
Illuminator: Chantecaille Anti-Aging Face Illuminator
This has got to be my all time favourite cream illuminator so far. Strong in pigment, but still lightweight and comes on quite naturally. Brightens the skin as well as highlights, it includes ingredients such as Bamboo and pea extracts and gives a youthful glow.
Available at Bloomingdales
Hair perfume: Dior Miss Dior
In between hair washes, nothing comes more than handy than a dry shampoo and hair perfume. This month, i’ve been using Dior’s Miss Dior fragrance. Small enough to fit in your handbag, pretty bottle and quite a light scent, so it doesn’t empower any other fragrance you’d also be wearing.
