Ideal for… a good salad lunch.

Restaurant name and location: Bystro on Al Manara/Sheikh Zayed right next to Jones the Grocer

Cuisine: European

Atmosphere: Fresh, and modern interiors – people were entering and leaving for a quick bite during the day.

What they say: Bystro is a new modern restaurant located in Dubai that aims to provide well executed, well thought out classic modern European food. It is however not governed but any ties to any specific genre, so its more than likely you will find influences from around the globe throughout the menu.

The restaurant will also feature Dubai’s superior Italian Pasticceria with experienced Italian chefs aiming to deliver genuine Italian pastry and dessert items, fresh everyday.

What to order:

Burrata, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, focaccia crumble (One of the best burratta’s I’ve had, and the focaccia crumbs really gives it a great twist)

-Super food salad of quinoa, lentils, charcoal roast vegetables, roast pepper dressing

-Sticky toffee pudding, butterscotch sauce, chantilly cream (just… perfect.)

Service: Fab! I was so impressed with how knowledgable our waitress was and how hands on the owner was.

What I loved:

-The fact that Bystro is a homegrown brand, but definitely on an international level even though it just opened.

-They have Tuscan pastries and Italian desserts that you can pick up on the go. Try the Zeppole (Italian doughnuts) especially the custard filled one – delish.

-The owner, Josh is super hands on – made it feel very cosy.

-I rarely find places to grab a delicious salad and fresh food, this is definitely one!

Bill for two: AED150
