On my Plate: Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Dubai

I recently headed to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse with my cousin, who loves his steaks for a catch up and a meat treat after traveling for a full month. If you love Steaks, this is the place to go and if you don’t live for Steaks, this is still a place to visit. Here’s why…

Restaurant name and location: Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, The Address Dubai Marina.  (right next to Marina Mall)

Cuisine: Steakhouse from Louisiana

Atmosphere: Quiet for lunch, but then again I was there on Sunday at 1pm. Classic Steakhouse look- maroon and brown interiors.

What they say: Ruth’s Chris steakhouse is famous for its exceptional food and wine. The restaurant serves the best USDA prime steak sizzling hot.

What to order:

-Voodoo Shrimps (one of their signature starters, corn flour fried shrimps, delicious!)

-Mushrooms stuffed with Crabmeat (sprinkled with Romano cheese)

-Barbecue shrimps (sautéed New Orleans style with garlic)

-Steak: New York strip steak with pepper sauce

-Garlic stuffed Chicken entree (garlic oozes out when you cut it up)

-Pecan Sweet Potato (a side, but it’s sweet with the candied pecans, so make sure you have a sweet tooth)

-Apple Crumble (I’ve had quite a few good Apple Crumbles, this was definitely good.)

-Cheesecake (A REAL American cheesecake. Creamy, yet not too heavy.)

Service: Ace, nothing to complain about. We felt completely taken care of.

What I loved:

-The view of the Marina, ask for a table by the window.

-The freshly baked bread – so hot and doughy. (Make sure you don’t snack too much, the portions are large.)

-You don’t need to be a steak expert to eat here, they have a section in the menu called ‘About your steak’ which explains the different steak cooks they have.

What I didn’t love as much:

-Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is one of those places you’d probably treat yourself  to due to the fact that you would spend an average AED600 for two minus any drinks.

Bill for two: AED 600 if a la carte. They also have lunch menu packages – AED99 for a 2 course meal and AED119 for 3 course meals.
