Time for Week two of my KCal wellness food delivery extra program. Just a little round up, I’m trying out Kcal’s Wellness food delivery for one month – where I receive a package for the day every morning (including a Breakfast, 2 AM snacks, lunch and a side, PM snack, Dinner & 2 sides with a dessert.) With that, I add my own skinny latte from Starbucks or Caribou, and sometimes cheat with a sugary treat (hoping to stop that though…). Personally, I think this is a great way to see what I should be eating, how regular I should be eating and learning the power of portion control. It’s definitely a program that feels more of a lifestyle, rather than a diet.

Highlights:

The choco pancakes were super lovely – erm KCal could you add it to your menu? I’d order it regularly! The French Toast were subtly sweet and delicious.

I’ve added a little food diary of my favorite meals this week (above)

Concerns:

I’d hope to lose a kg or two after taking the challenge to eat healthier, and sadly have not dropped a gram after two weeks. I wouldn’t mind small changes can be made to the meals – for Example would be an exchange of something like turkey bacon for greens if it it meant I’d lose weight 🙂

Flavor:

Kcal do such a great job with the sweet food but the savory is quite bland at times. Wish the chicken could have some added flavor but my favorites included Wholeweat pasta, Sweet mashed potato, and those burritos!

Missed meal:

I’ve had a snack missing, My dinner and dessert were also not sent on one of the days, but my account manager, Sylvia was such a star and got the food replaced that day.

I started this program thinking of it as a diet, and struggling to get used to it as a lifestyle. Now, I get excited seeing what is in store for the next day but if I have an important lunch or dinner, I end up skipping the meal but I’ve had more of a watchful eye on what I put inside. Obviously, I always have room for dessert and I sneakily snack on those Cookies n Cream Kit Kats that are in my fridge – But it’s a lifestyle and I am definitely less bloated & feel healthier.
