I recently dropped by The Vanilla Salon of the beautiful former model, Jelena Bin Drai. The beauty centre is situated on the Palm by Milk and Honey (the organic supermarket, perfect to pick up fresh food right after). The salon is home to everything (hair, nails, body etc) – I chose to go ahead and try the 90 mins Vanilla signature treatment, which is a combination of scrub, mask, and massage in one treatment.
The session started off with a shower, followed by a vanilla scrubbing session in a steam room. This led on to a mini shower, followed by a vanilla-milk-corn mix mask that was put on the body, going on to being wrapped and relaxing in a steam room for 15 minutes. The treatment ended with a shower and a full body massage using vanilla wax and finished off with some vanilla powder to blot the wax and cream. The highlight of the massage was the neck shoulder head – I needed that after a long, crazy month!

The signature treatment was brought to an end superbly… My skin smelt like vanilla powder for the rest of the day, and soft as a baby’s bottom for the rest of the week!
