During my NYC trip, I visited Chaise 23… I mean, who wouldn’t want to visit a studio that goes by the words ‘Lean.Tone.Define’. Chaise 23 is a chic fitness studio off Flatiron which is all about working out on a chair (Hence the name ‘Chaise’ which is french for Chair) But don’t get me wrong, this feels NOTHING like working out on your chair at home. The workout is a mix of TRX and Pilates on a Pilates chair. Chaise 23 offer three different classes, and I went for the Reinvention chair for the first one which is made to sculpt and tone the muscles in the body – I will have to try out the Cardio chair on my next visit (which is primarily focused on Cardio) Catherine Scanlon, one of the sweetest instructor I have come across gave us a fab choreographed class with amazing music to work out to. Catherine was very attentive, and super hands on (the classes are quite small, with a limited number of chairs which I feel is crucial if you want to get the most out of your workout) What I loved most about the class is we worked every single muscle in the body in many different ways, and focused on the core greatly – and to top it off, you finish a full body workout in 40-55 minutes. This is not similar to any other fitness class I have taken part in which I loved. so I definitely recommend you trying it first hand – I ended up leaving refreshed, and sweating! Thank you for having me Chaise 23, can’t wait to come back.
