On My Plate: Café LUC
by MFD’s Food Editor, Tamara Samman
Café Luc is an elegant and lively brasserie that offers French and Belgian style dishes. The classic menu is unique as it serves different plates at varying times of the day depending on breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or even cocktails by the bar. The chic interior is combined with a contemporary edge and a vibrant ambience, as natural sunlight is shone through the windows. The various mirrors displayed around the brasserie create a more spacious setting. Café Luc’s attractive exterior of olive walls with customers enjoying their coffee and breakfast outside caught Myfashdiary’s attention amongst other cafes situated on Marylebone High Street!
Perfect for: A business lunch during the week, an intimate dinner or drinks by the bar, or even a family brunch on the weekend!
Interior: Classic and sophisticated with an original twist.
Myfashdiary’s Orders: Organic Omelette with Mushrooms and Truffle, Goat Cheese Salad with Pine Nuts, Pear and Beetroot, with a side order of Pomme Frites. Ended the meal with Creme Brulee au Nutella (yum!)
Lighter Options:
Breakfast/Brunch: Granola with Yoghurt and Berries or Baked Salmon with a Mix Leaf Salad
Lunch/Dinner: Lemon Sole or Sea Bass
Service: Very friendly and welcoming, and attentive despite being a busy brasserie!
Price: Great value for money based on the fresh locally sourced and organic ingredients along with the appealing presentation of the food.
Fun Facts: There are different menus that are specialized for the different time of day depending on breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or cocktails. There is also a 3 course set menu with a great value for money.
