StyleCrush: Zara Martin *EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW*
My Style Crush (check out her fab looks above!) at the moment would have to be Ms. Zara Martin, TV Presenter (she is currently in the pilot stages of a fantastic new TV project in the states!), a host for the prestigious London Fashion Weekend, a model (she also just modeled Olivia Rubin’s S/S’11 collection shot by Jackie Dixon!), and if that wasn’t enough, she also has a 7-piece capsule collection for BodyAmr debuting at London Fashion Week on 18th September!
I recently had the opportunity to chat with Zara about fashion…
How would you describe your personal style?
Hair and heels.
What is on your A/W’10 wish-list?
The ‘Saturday’ dress from my collection with Bodyamr (even though it’s spring/summer 11), an Alexander Wang handbag (any, I’m not fussy), Burberry Prorsum jacket, Christopher Kane leather embroidered shorts, Mechante of London shoes, Topshop Unique boots, silk shirts from The Reformation and pretty much the whole of Opening Ceremony.
What would you say is your most treasured piece of clothing?
A vintage serpent ring which was a gift from my mum.
Who are your favorite designers of the moment?
This may take a while, sorry! Obviously I’m in love with BodyAmr and everything they do. I’m also loving Olivia Rubin (I modelled the Spring/Summer 11 lookbook shot by Jackie Dixon), William Tempest, Felder Felder, Todd Lynn, Falguni and Shane Peacock, Marjan Pejoski, Gemma Slack, Hakaan. For accessories, Mechante of London shoes and Domakaya hats and knitted clutches.
What are the essentials in your handbag?
Other than my Blackberry and wallet, my handbag essentials are (hold on let me look!) an ipod, Dior rose lip balm, chewing gum of any description, Ray Bans, Smythson diary and Fifi di Chachnil perfume.
