Five Favorite Beauty Buys: October 2018

Liquid Lips: Urban Decay Vice lipstick in Backtalk
When it comes to lips, I usually wear a lip balm during the day, and during the evenings – either use a lipliner all over my lips or wear a liquid lipstick. Since the launch of liquid lipsticks, brands have come out with more comfortable mattes, that are still quite matte, but don’t dry out the lips. I love the Backtalk shade, which is the perfect mixture of mauve, nude and dusty rose.

Fragrance: Narciso Rouge by Narciso Rodriguez
I’ve been obsessed with the Poudree fragrance by Narciso Rodriguez, so I was excited to give this one a try. Even though the main accords aren’t usually what I’m drawn into (woody and musky), the powdery notes won me over. It’s such a beautiful fragrance, and one of my favorites at the moment.

Tinted moisturizer: Charlotte Tilbury unisex healthy glow
Great skin is a big priority for me. I feel like when I have clear skin, I end up having to put less on my skin and everything just looks so much better and more blended. This summer, one of my favorite tinted moisturizers is the one by Charlotte Tilbury (truly makes some of the best beauty products on the market). Comes in one tone, and just instantly adapts to your own skin color and gives you such a beautiful healthy glow.

Illuminator: Diorskin Nude Luminizer in Bronze glow
Dior is another one of those brands killing it in the beauty world. I’m loving this luminizer – a powder infused with pigments. Pigmented enough to wear without a liquid base, but I do recommend a light liquid base if you want it lasting all night.

Drugstore buy: Johnson’s Fresh hydration micellar cleansing jelly
I live for cleansing waters, so I was over the moon when I heard about the cleansing jelly Johson’s launched. In a light gel form, it removes make up, dirt – as well as mascara. Side note – I don’t use this instead of my cleanser, I use it before cleansing my skin to remove all the superficial dirt. I do enjoy the refreshing feel the gel gives as opposed to the typical water form.
