Best Blow-dries in Dubai.

-Marquee, Jumeirah
The atmosphere: One of my favorite spots to get a blow dry, Marquee Jumeirah feels very cosy as they just have 4 blow dry chairs and 4 color chairs on each side with a burlesque/retro feel.
The experience: As soon as you arrive, an assistant takes you to the basin (they have the flat beds for the shower so you literally feel like you’re in bed) and get washed by Kevin Murphy depending on your hair type (Kevin Murphy makes
some of my favorite shampoos because they’re sulphate free, yet don’t make your hair feel greasy.
Final note and results: As soon as my wash is done, my hair is dried before it’s waved. I judge a good beach wave by how beachy it looks, rather than put together and how long it lasts.
Recommended stylist: For beach waves, I recommend Kim or Theresa.
Cost: AED130

-Be Bar, Dubai
The atmosphere: I love Be Bar, I have a thing for blow dry bars and their whole experience. There are very few authentic blow dry bars in Dubai, and Be Bar has always been one of my favorites.
Based on Beach Road, it’s literally right next to Hampton’s Cafe.
The experience: A blow dry experience starts with a short consultation (they mostly use Davines for hair) – we used the rebalancing shampoo to help remove any product build up from the roots and a
more hydrating mask on the ends. The shower room is one of the most zen ones I’ve ever been in (salons, take note) and the scalp massage at the end is always incredibly relaxing. Once that was done,
I was moved to the bar and got my hair blow dried.
Final note and results: Sashi, my stylist is incredibly sweet and totally understood what I wanted. I loved how she suggested products to use, yet it was my call at the end. My hair was dried smoothly
followed by waves with a tong. My waves did last for two days – so I was very happy!
Recommended stylist: Sashi, she creates some incredible beach waves!
Cost: AED150 for all styles and lengths

Extra notes:
-They usually give you a cup of popcorn form Sunny’s pops – but they were out of it that day. It really completes the Be Bar experience.

-The Nail Pavillion, Dubai
The atmosphere: Very relaxed, and quite hidden in Cluster Y owned by Aamna Mani – the salon is a one stop shop for nails, hair to other beauty services.
The experience: As soon as I found out they had Pravana (so tricky to find it in the UAE), I booked in to top up my color and get beach waves in. My stylist, Hani has worked at a bunch of different leading hair salons in the UAE – and was pretty impressed with the choice of brands they used at the salon from Oribe to Show beauty.
Final note and results: My hair was topped up with violet and beach waved (they didn’t last as long as I would have liked) but the best thing about beach waves is the fact that you still get that textured finish.
Recommended stylist: Hani
Cost: AED180 for beach waves and AED400 for full head color
