Chic Stay: Ritz Carlton San Francisco
Ideal for… a luxury stay in Nob Hill, San Francisco
What: Ritz Carlton, San Francisco USA
Where: Stockton street, very close to Union Square. You can catch a cable car very close by.
The Rooms: When checking in, I was told by the reception that most rooms in this hotel don’t really have a view but they sure are spacious. A navy/silver/grey theme, the hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms have a luxury royal feel.
The Bed: A Ritz bed, no further comment
The Toilets:
Spacious, my favorite features included the toothbrush holder, the holder for your rings (perfect for when you wash your hands) the night light (because you never want to wake up your partner or friend at night), and the half flush option (especially with California’s current drought). Toiletteries are by Asprey -includes shampoo, conditioner, body gel, body lotion and mouthwash.
The Breakfast: I stayed on the club level so I had my breakfast at the club lounge, which is a little basic but had a selection of scrambled eggs, protein and pastries. That being said the lounge is always buzzing with snacks, drinks and guests.
The Food (restaurants & bars):
I didn’t get the chance to eat at any of the restaurants during my stay but the hotel is famous for their Parallel 37 restaurant, which is a Californian cuisine – and serve breakfast and dinner – and also have a lounge and afternoon tea.
Pool, Spa & Gym:
The Hotel have a spa called the Spa de Vie and a 24 hour fitness centre with PT upon request.
Price: Starting at around USD700
Extra points:
-You can stay at the Club level floors which have a city view lounge and complimentary food and drinks throughout the day.
-The Building has so much heritage, having been built in 1909 as the HQ of the Metropolitan Life Insurance company.
-A little lovely touch, but the hotel have fresh California plums at the check in reception desk.
-An Alarm call comes with a complimentary coffee delivery.
