On my Plate: Sapori di BICE, Dubai
Ideal for… an incredibly delicious Italian lunch spot.
Restaurant name and location: Sapori Di Bice at Citywalk, Dubai
Cuisine: Italian
Atmosphere: I went there during Ramadan, which is generally quiet but it was the busiest restaurant at Citywalk – that says a lot.
What they say: Sapori di BICE is an innovative casual chic family dining concept that transports its guests to the origins of Italian family dining with its warm setting & cozy homey feeling.
What to order:
-Burrata e Bresaola – Burrata cheese with bresaola – my favorites in one dish.
-Melanzane “Parmigiana” – baked eggplants with layers of mozzarella in tomato and light basil sauce
-Burrata pizza (fresh and heavenly)
-Endive salad (refreshing!)
-Patate Dolci – sweet potato casserole (sweet, but not overly sweet which was nice.)
-Kale salad (sour, but delicious.)
-Paparadelle (mozzarella, tomato and basil – a must order classic)
-Spaghetti tartufara (asparagus in carbonara and truffle sauce, the best pasta dish we had)
-Scialatielli limone, zucchine e Gamberi (fresh scialatelli pasta with lemon, zucchini, and shrimp)
-Bistecca – rib eye steak
-For dessert, have the pistachio cake and chocolate fondant! They also make a lovely Lavender cake
Service: 10/10 – The manager, Luca is a star too! super Italian, loved the authenticity.
What I loved:
-The casual sister of one of my favourite Italian restaurants, Bice.
-Chic, rustic interiors.
-They have Gluten free options!
-The vast range of fresh juices.
Bill for two: AED200+
