Mother's Day Gift Guide
Mother’s Day is coming up, and I thought I would share a few gift suggestions that I’ve worked on and compiled for you as I know it’s usually stressful when thinking of a great gesture or gift…
-Take your mom out… for a Mother’s Day Tea Time at TWG Tea Boutique & Boutique.
I recently went out for tea with my mom at the TWG Tea salon & Boutique at Dubai Festival city – they have one in Dubai Mall, and yet to open a few other branches across the UAE. Huge in the Far East, they have an extensive selection of teas (350 to be exact, with Creme caramel to birthday tea options all the way to your classics white and green Jasmine tea). The tea time still has your traditional scones, cake and sandwiches as well as the twist of mini Wagyu burgers, date scone options, Earl Grey infused sandwiches to Macarons. Not to mention all set in a super classy tea salon, private enough with fab service.

-Treat her… to an Eve Lom signature Facial at Sensasia Spa
Spa gift cards are always the perfect surprise when someone has had a busy week/month or even year. There’s nothing better than a card with a treat for a mom to spend on HER special day. Sensasia have come out with a treatment to pamper your mom – their Eve Lom facial. I’m a huge fan of the brand, and have been so for the past few years… I recently tried out their facial (luckily at my favourite spa!). Sensasia are one of those spas that have consistently had quality service. The facial not only hydrates & cleanses the skin, it’s also super relaxing and the ideal pamper treat.

Beauty brand, Philosophy have their Amazing Grace gift set which includes a Shampoo, bath & shower gel, firming body emulsion and spray fragrance all wrapped up in a cute pink box with a baby pink bow with a quote on the box saying, ‘In the end, it all comes down to one word. Grace’. Simple and easy to find at Sephora stores and that gesture will mean a lot.
-For the mom with a sweet tooth… Jarful
Jarful is a cake in a jar concept by Rama Jundi – not only are the jars so much fun, they come in great flavours and the perfect way to not over indulge (have a bite, close the jar and store it in the fridge!) My favourite is the Pistachio & Rose cake and they also have everything from an Oreo Mousse to red velvet and Chocolate peanut butter. If your mom has a sweet tooth, how about order a selection of six jars… she will love it.
-For the mom that loves to cook… Slice+Dice
If your mom loves to cook, give her the treat of not having to go to the grocery stores to pick up ingredients. Slice+Dice, a new concept in the UAE has just launched. They deliver kits with everything you need to cook that day’s menu starting at just AED290.
-The fail safe choice… Jo Malone London Rain collection
Who doesn’t love a gift packed in a Jo Malone box and ribbon? Jo Malone have just launched a collection inspired by London rain in ombre like bottles. Each scent is inspired by a different kind of London rain (who knew there were four types…) My favourites included Jasmine & Mint and Wisteria & Violet.

What? 20 minute express lashes at The Nail Spa
Brand: Let’s go Lashes
Cost: Starts at AED200 for 20 minutes then you pay AED75 for each extra 10 minutes
Time: Around half an hour but it depends on how intense you want them
Comfort: You don’t feel anything, very light
Results: They gave off a great natural effect, but I felt like a few would fall every day.
