Grabbing lunch at the mall always feels like such a dilemma if you want good food… I recently went for lunch for a catch up with a friend to Social House. A great choice if you don’t know what you’re craving… Finding a good mall restaurant in Dubai is important as we’re constantly in shopping centres.

Restaurant name and location: Social House, Dubai Mall.

Cuisine: International

Atmosphere: It was lunch on a weekday, the restaurant was quite full at a shopping centre – yet still felt private in a strange way. Great atmosphere and didn’t feel like I was having lunch in the midst of a busy mall.

What they say: Casual conversations, exquisite woods, and natural lighting, create a terrace-like ambiance that invite you to be at ease.

Indulge in our delicious comfort cuisine from different regions of the world, with special menus for every part of the day. Experience our one of a kind VIP Private Room with custom-made MIELE kitchen and optional personalized live cooking experience.

What to order:

-Halloumi salad with hazelnuts, pomegranate seeds, beetroot, mint leaves and greens. (interesting, delicious and already craving this again…)

-Popcorn shrimp salad with mushrooms, mayo and apple dressing.

-Chicken and shrimp dumplings (Gyoza – half grilled/half fried, but very good.)

-Spaghetti alioglio garlicky (one of my favourite pasta dishes, I would order it sans the chicken next time.)

Service: Great – everyone was sweet, very on it – they even served the dishes we had to share. Sam, our server was fab.

What I loved:

-I always struggle with finding delicious salads – and that halloumi salad was just…

-The portions are super generous. Their salads definitely work as a main meal.

-Location in the mall is great – you can park in the Grand parking & you’re good to go.

-The variety of food – you can be craving pasta, pizza, salads and you’d be happy.

-When anything’s ready, they bring it over so the food gets to you quite fast.
