I was recently invited to a jewelry preview evening for Egyptian brand, Azza Fahmy – and I was definitely intrigued to visit and support a Middle Eastern designer showing in London. The brand has been going on for 40 years now. Loved by names such as Rihanna, collaborated with Preen and Julien Macdonald, and stocked in stores like LuisaViaRoma and Bloomingdales in Dubai, and was currently in London for London Jewellery week. I met Azza’s daughter, Amina Ghali – who designs for Azza Fahmy, who took me through the collection and talked about the brand, and it’s journey. Previewing the ‘Pharaonic Collection’, I couldn’t wait to share all the pictures because the pieces were just beautiful, original and very Middle Eastern inspired.
