I was recently invited to a lovely evening hosted by mydaily.co.uk with Mary Katrantzou. Mydaily, a part of the aol group – invited me to an intimate fashion evening at Kettners, Soho in London which started off with drinks & delicious canapes followed by an interview with the talented, Mary conducted by Mydaily editor, Libby Banks.

Mary spoke about her infamous prints, how she got into design, the inspiration behind those prints and silhouettes, as well as the design process (and how it always begins with an image) Ironically, Mary doesn’t wear her designs which I found quite interesting… she said, her designs, ‘are my aesthetic, not my lifestyle’.

I ended up meeting Mary personally after the interview – she was so down to earth and lovely… it just made me love her even more. Enjoy the pictures!
