My Trip to Brussels: The Fashion Trail!

Here it is – Finally, all the details from my trip to Belgium last month! I was invited by Modo Brussels (the Brussels fashion council) to visit the Belgian capital, Brussels alongside 4 top bloggers (such an honor!) to check out the Fashion trail (modo Parcours), which is an annual event they have in Brussels to support upcoming fashion talent in Belgium. I was very impressed with how Modo Brussels help and support their designers by bringing in international buyers & press.

During the trip, we visited several different young designers & chic boutiques to chat & learn about their brand as well as check out their first collection… 2 things I learnt after this trip – 1) Brussels have a bunch of talented designers (& they have the talent to make it BIG) 2) I never realized how close Brussels was to London… 2 hour and a half on the Eurostar! Must plan another trip soon.

It was a short, yet sweet trip (I was only in Brussels for 24 hours unlike the other great bloggers I met during the trip, due to commitments) but I would have loved to have been there longer. Check out my snapshot diary above & do check out the following designers:

Christophe Coppens, Jean Paul Lespagnard, Annemie Verbeke, Niyona, Jean Paul Knott, Sofie D’Hoore, Le Fabuleux Marcel de Bruxelles…) and upcoming talents (students of the Brussels renomated fashion school La Cambre Mode[s], Marc-Philippe Coudeyre, By Piece of Chic, Kim Stumpf, Giuseppe Virgone)

Thank you Modo Brussels – I had such an amazing time! Can’t wait to head back and check out your upcoming designers, shop at the uber chic boutiques and have a ton of Belgian waffles (did I mention I had around 5 in 24 hours?!)
