BEAUTY BUZZ: September 2011
-Face: 3Lab Hydraday SPF 20
I’m not the best person with skincare but I’m learning… I’m quite simple with my skincare regime but if there is one thing I hear a lot from skincare experts, it is to make sure to never leave home without sunscreen. You might not see any difference tomorrow, a week later or a month later. But in the long run, you will have great skin for a longer period & you’ll have healthy skin as well! I was recently introduced to luxury skincare line, 3Lab which is available at Bloomingdales & Harvey Nichols in Dubai. It’s a great mix of hydrating moisturizer and Sunscreen, but doesn’t grease up your skin!
-Foundation: Une Mineral Powder Foundation and Multipurpose Brush
In terms of foundation, I am no fan of the cakey look and constantly looking for foundations that are light, yet have great coverage. I recently started using this one by Une and completely in love. Perfect for everyday light coverage (the coverage is pretty much amazing!)
-Blush: Lancome Maison Lancome Blusher
This is one of those products that look too good to use… I’m loving the Lancome Maison on the actual blusher. Overall a great blusher as well – it has a mix of bronzer, rose, and shimmer – all in one!
-Bronzer: Dolce & Gabbana ‘the animalier’
Introducing what I can’t live without – The Bronzer! This is another beauty product that looks too good to actually use. I felt bad actually ruining the leopard print… But what I love about this product is the perfect mix of colors to create the perfect bronze for any skin tone. A mix of different bronze & brown colors with a hint of shimmer!
-Eyes: Max Factor False Lash effect Fusion
Personally, Max Factor’s False lash effect mascara is one of my ALL-TIME favorites. They have just come out with a new edition called the Fusion one that was available in the Myfashdiary goodybags at the relaunch party. In love with this one & love how it’s so affordable!
-Lips: Dolce & Gabbana in Cinnamon (49)
When applying lipstick, I like lining my lips to get a neat look with lipliner. In general, Dolce & Gabbana have great lipliners incase you were looking for some in darker colors. However for a nude lip, I LOVE the one in Cinnamon!
-Nails: Chanel Mimosa
I get bored easily so I’m constantly changing my nailpolish. I always look to see what colors Chanel are coming out with to find out the nail trends for next season (their colors are always SO chic.) I am loving the Mimosa color – the color is so much fun! This month, I ended up painting my nails to achieve a ‘Bumble Bee’ look – Black, yellow, black, yellow! Check it out HERE
-Hair: TreSemme Heat Defense styling spray
A new year resolution that I have followed this year is to stop using straighteners – I’m so proud of myself! But every now and then for events & photoshoots, I end up using lots of heat on my hair with straighteners, curlers and blowdries. My hair has been so soft and healthy, I try to take care of it as much as I can so I recommend you start using a heat defense spray if you don’t already. Loving the one by Tresemme!
-Fragrance: Amouage Honour for Women
Some of you might be familiar with the Omani fragrance brand, Amouage – who are quite famous for their strong oud based fragrances. Amouage have just come out with a new fragrance for both men & women called ‘Honour’. Strong, but not an oud-based perfume – absoloutely in love with this white, floral fragrance which includes notes of Jasmine and Gardenia. a Luxury perfume I strongly recommend! Available at Harrods and Selfridges in London.
