Five Favorite Beauty Buys: January 2019

Range: Sukin

Finding great natural products that work is not the easiest. I’ve recently fallen in love with Sukin, an Australian brand. I personally love the detoxifying facial scrub for my face (which has ingredients like super green extracts, jojoba beads and bamboo) which exfoliates, yet keeps the hydration in the skin. Another favorite is the energizing body scrub (made out of coffee extracts, walnut and coconut shells) which I have been using daily in the shower.
Available at LIFE pharmacy

Foundation: MAC Studio Fix liquid

I only ever wear foundation if it’s at night. I’m currently in love and using MAC’s Studio fix liquid (if you’re planning to use this during the day, it has SPF 15). Not heavy on the skin, but has the loveliest matte (but not too matte) finish that is medium-full coverage, a buildable one. Easy to blend, it has the most beautiful flawless finish. I’m using it in NC41.

Brows: Lime Crime Bushy brow

I’ve been using Lime Crime since they were the leading brand for the liquid lips, and I must say I have been so impressed with their new launches. When it comes to make up, I’m not too fussed for brows. I usually just use a clear gel (I do love the one from the Bushy brow collection from LC and also using it in the Brownie shade). In addition the brow gel, I also love the precision pen – a thin pen that is pigmented, which is so easy to fill brows with, I have been using it in the Brownie shade.

Concealer: Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant retouch concealer

Another beauty brand killing it at the moment is Fenty Beauty.  I’m super picky when it comes to concealers, but I fell in love with this one by Fenty. Comes in 50 shades, the concealer is a creamy, soft-matte and airy texture with an incredible full coverage finish. The packaging is perfect as well, not too big – and perfect for travels.

Eye patches: Kocostar Tropical Eye patch

I’ve always been impressed with cooling patches but I think this Korean brand wins as my favorite one so far. Comes in the loveliest hydrogel material, which feels so great on the skin. Quite affordable, you can either buy it in a pair or in a box – they help with hydrating your eyes – I treat myself to self when I want a pick me up.
Available at Lifestyle stores in the UAE & GCC.
