Have Afternoon tea inside the tallest building in the world
Ideal for… a one time experience of having high tea at the Burj Khalifa — perfect if you have guests in town.
Restaurant name and location: Atmosphere on the 122nd floor of Burj Khalifa, Downtown
Atmosphere: It does get quite booked out as the space is relatively small, with most of the tables being window views, with more of an expat and tourist crowd.
What to order: This high tea is a little different to others, this one consists of a four course meal which starts off with Pierlant Brut (gold leaf, berries and cream), followed by a
selection of finger sandwiches (very few compared to other afternoon teas, but the chicken ceasar and roast beef croissant were really good). The third, and different to other tea times, is a main course selection: roast chicken or catch of the day, and ending with desserts and scones (unfortunately my scones weren’t warm, which was a little disappointing)
Service: The staff could have been a little nicer — don’t expect to get refills on your sandwiches here.
What I loved:
It’s definitely an experience, and the views are breathtaking. You’ll find yourself falling more in love with Dubai!

Get your portrait done at Picture People
In my line of work, I always need to have high-res images of myself that I can use, and as the years fly by, I realize I’ve been using the same pictures for the past couple of years and need a refresh. I usually dread getting these pictures taken because of the time investment that goes into getting them done, but I found a place that takes that dread away: Picture People, a US franchise in the Wasl Vita Mall on Wasl Road. The studio is quite a large space for a shopping centre photo studio. After getting there, I waited for my photographer before being taken to my own private studio. It had a changing room, and everything my photographer, Erika needed. One thing I realized I enjoyed was the ease and comfort; my photographer directed me and guided me on what to do, and it was as simple as just doing it and liking how they looked. Not cheesy, just classic and flattering. Ten minutes after the 25-30 minute shoot, she had all my pictures on a large screen where I easily chose what I wanted, and left with my USBs of photos. My only feedback is that I wished the pictures could have been a little larger and that they didn’t have the watermarks. Other than that, I highly recommend it for a family shoot or personal portraits.

-Yoga strap by Merrithew — my favorite from the box, this super cute pink strap is great for stretching and strength training during your yoga training.
