Ideal for… Couples for a quiet quality Chinese dinner outside of the city madness. I went with a close group of friends, which was lovely but it was definitely quiet.

Restaurant name and location: Long Yin, Le Meridien Hotel, Garhoud by the Airport – Dubai, UAE

Cuisine: Chinese with a focus on Cantonese and Schezwan.

Atmosphere: Quiet and relaxed.

What they say: Long Yin loyalists and Chinese cuisine aficionados can expect nothing less than what this restaurant is famous for – traditional Cantonese & Schezwan at its best. Long Yin’s menu with its new look, boasts the all time favourites and a dedicated section offering 34 fried and steamed dim sum. Seafood lovers have the option to select the ‘catch of the day’ from the live fish tank and have it prepared to their cooking preference.

What to order:

-Assorted Dumplings (my favorites were the crystal vegetable and prawn)

-Hot and sour soup

-Spring rolls

-Peking duck

-Wasabi prawns (very flavorful and delicious.)

-Crispy banana fritters (sweet, perfect if you like bananas)

-Ginger Creme Brûlée (Creme Brûlée with a touch of Ginger)

Service: Quality service, they made sure we were taken care of and served the dishes we got to share.

What I loved:

-Calling all the dim sum fanatics – they have over 34 choices Dim Sums.

-Select the “catch of the day” from the live fish tank and have it prepared to their cooking style.

-For the people on diets, they have healthy choices within their menu.

Bill for two: AED500+
