An Estee Lauder spokesmodel and the current face of Estee Lauder’s brand new fragrance, Modern Muse. Myfashdiary speaks to the supermodel about the fragrance, her muses, as well as her beauty & fitness routine.

What do you think of the fragrance? 

I love the fragrance because it has a duality to it. It is feminine yet strong. The woods give it a richness, but it also has a lightness with the florals. It is now my signature scent – of course!

 

What is your idea of a modern muse?

My idea of a modern muse is someone who is confident, stylish and inspiring to others. A Modern Muse is in charge of her life and happy.

 

Who do you think of as iconic muses?

I think Joan of Arc is iconic. She was a woman who maintained her femininity but was strong enough to lead an army of men into battle.

I also think of all the models before me as muses, particularly Carolyn Murphy. She has been in the industry for so long and has had such a long career with Estée Lauder. I find that really inspiring.

And Angelina Jolie. She is beautiful, talented, she protects her children which, as a mother, is so important for me, and she gives so much back.

 

Who are your own personal muses?

I’d say my personal muses are my friends and my mum!

 

What are your favorite skincare and make-up products right now?

Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator. It is fantastic for puffy eyes and a great base before makeup

Daywear BB Creme. It evens out my skin without feeling heavy and has an SPF

Advanced Night Repair. It makes my skin so smooth and soft

ANR Eye Serum Infusion

Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencils. I use eye pencils instead of mascara and these ones are really soft, so easy to blend over the eyelid. I like to apply the brown pencil on the inner rim of my eyes

 

Best beauty tip received and from whom?

I learned from Tom Pecheux that the best way to apply your foundation is to mix it first with a drop of ANR. It helps the foundation glide on without looking cakey. He also taught me to apply foundation with your fingers. It is easier to smooth the foundation all over your face and neck without leaving a line.

 

Skincare routine?

I am obsessed with clean skin. I always use a foaming cleanser then a toner. Then I apply ANR. In the morning I add Daywear BB Creme.

 

What exercise do you do to stay in shape?

I love yoga. It is more than just physical fitness. It is about balance in your emotional life as well.

 

Hair products?

I have fine hair so I like to use hair spray or volumizer to give it texture and weight. The Bumble & Bumble products are great because they are not sticky.

 

You cause a media frenzy when you cut your hair short! How do you like it?

I love having short hair! I would suggest to anyone cutting their hair to stick with it for a while. That’s the fun of it. It changes all the time as it grows.

 

You are famous for your eyebrows. Any tips?

I don’t pluck them and I also fill in the gaps with a pencil. I love the Estée Lauder Automatic Brow Pencil Duo.

 

Explain your fashion and beauty style.

I’m experimenting. Now I am older, I am enjoying the femininity of being a woman. I like dressing up. When I was younger, I was more of a tomboy. I’m really low maintenance when it comes to beauty. But when I wear makeup, I want to do it well. Otherwise, I must have clean skin. I am obsessed.

 

Favorite designers?

Right now, Louis Vuitton! And also Tregar Delaney. They are an English duo who are friends of mine and they design beautiful clothes with high quality fabrics. They have such great integrity.

 

Travel tips?

Drink plenty of water and always carry concealer! It really helps disguise the black circles under your eyes after a long flight.

 

Favorite piece of clothing?

Coats and jackets. I have a whole closet just for my jackets! Everything else is in another closet.

What are your favorite places in London/ New York?

I love downtown New York – especially Soho. I love to eat at La Esquina when I come back to New York. It has great Mexican food.

In London, I love Granger & Co. the fashion label Joseph and Kensington Gardens!

 

Where are you living now? 

I moved to London last year and I love it. I love the weather, the fresh air, and the parks. My mother’s family also lives there so it is nice being close to them. I am so happy there.

 

How do you juggle single motherhood and modeling?

It is really hard. You have to find a balance. I like to take Nikko with me when I can. Motherhood has brought so much to my life and I wouldn’t change anything. But sometimes it is challenging and I am lucky to have great support from family and friends.

Always be kind and understanding of others.

 

What is your advice to other girls wanting to become a model?

Just be yourself, be confident and nice to others

 

What have been the highlights of your career so far?

Probably my first season on the runway for YSL and Prada, the Louis Vuitton campaign and I think being the face of Modern Muse is pretty monumental!

 

What do you like to splurge on?

I like to stay in nice hotels when I travel. But otherwise, I don’t want too many ‘things’, so I don’t really splurge.

 

What is your favorite thing about motherhood?

Watching my son grow and hearing how he thinks. Bed time is my favorite time with him because it is the only time during the day that he is still! I love listening to what he talks about.

 

What’s next for Arizona?

I feel like there is so much time ahead of me I can achieve lots of things. I would like to take an acting course just to study facial expressions and of course I look forward to more campaigns with Estée Lauder!
