Ideal for… a quirky Asian night (without having to narrow it down to one Asian cuisine)
Restaurant name and location: Miss Tess at the Taj Hotel in Business Bay
Cuisine: Asian street food
Atmosphere: I love the quirky and vibrant Asian street feel the restaurant has – super cool interiors.
What they say: Miss Tess is a street-food restaurant inspired by a story. A story of an Asian woman who grew up on the streets of her continent, learning what they offer best and turning this knowledge into a fully Asian gastronomical experience. Come in, meet Miss Tess and discover our delicious street food, the Asian Way.

What to order:
Chicken satay with peanut sauce
chicken sieu mai
Chicken sweet and sour
Pad Thai

Service: Average, it wasn’t the best but it could be because it’s a new restaurant.

What I loved:
-It does get quite loud with Entertainment – but you do get a range of dances and Asian traditions throughout the evening.
-Their menu is quite large, so there is something for everyone.

What I didn’t love as much:
-I was so unimpressed with the desserts – they got the sticky mango dessert (my favorite Thai dessert) quite wrong with an off aftertaste, and the fruit platter only had the basics as they were out of the mangosteen.

Bill for two: AED300
