Chic Stay: Museum Hotel, Cappadocia Turkey

October 1
Comments

Ideal for… a honeymoon or a short relaxing getaway.
What: Museum Hotel, Cappadocia in Turkey (if you haven’t heard of Cappadocia, you’ve definitely seen pictures of the Cappadocia views filled with hot air balloons)
The Rooms: The hotel itself is so charming – you really feel like you’re staying in a museum, or even on a set of a movie (the background soundtracks definitely help set the scene). The hotel is made up of Cave rooms and Cave suites.
The Toilets: We stayed in the Harem suite, which had a huge and beautiful toilet (it was bigger than most rooms I’ve stayed!) The toiletries were by L’Occitane.
The Breakfast: Their breakfast is a traditional Turkish breakfast with a large buffet (I loved the fresh spreads, range of cheeses and helawa), an egg bar as well as a local making fresh bread every morning.
The Food (restaurants & bars): One thing I wish could have been a little better was the variety of F&B at the hotel. They have one lunch menu and one dinner menu, which was quite small so we did repeat dishes throughout the stay. The double patty burger on the lunch menu definitely wins as one of my favorite burgers. During the daytime, their fresh melon juice (cantaloupe) was perfect by the pool
Pool, Spa & Gym: They don’t have a spa per say, but they have two spa therapists and a treatment room for spa treatments. They don’t have a gym, but have a beautiful infinity pool with a gorgeous 360 panoramic view. We would wake up every morning at 5am to watch the hot air balloons from there (the hotel also organized a hot air balloon ride on one of our mornings. It will beat any hot air balloon ride you’ve done before.

Price: Starts at EURO300

Extra points:
-They have some of the most beautiful animals roaming around the property – strange and interesting pigeons, turtles, and peacocks to name a few.
-Every room had a pillow menu, and the beds were super comfortable.
-One of the best things about the room was the wine tap (that had unlimited white and red wine from a tap) – one thing I’ve never seen before.
