Five Fragrances for Spring/Summer 2016

July 26
Comments

This took me months to put together, and I must say – when it comes to fragrances, I am so picky, but when I love something, I come back to it year after year. I hope you find a few new or old favorites here. Stay tuned for the Fall list, one I’ll start working on very soon!

Salvatore Ferragamo Emozione
Even though this isn’t a new fragrance and launched last year, I love it. This fragrance smells like a bouquet of flowers. I love the combination of floral and powdery scents, and the base of the musk holds it together. It’s a great scent for a night out, while still fresh enough to hold through the day.

Narciso Rodriguez Eau de Parfum Poudree
This is by far my favorite Narciso Rodriguez fragrance, and brand new, having just come out in May. The bottle is a beautiful blush square, and the scent is just so sexy. A soft and powdery version of their signature, it’s a gorgeous evening scent. The powder scent is mixed in with some of my favorites like white floral and jasmine, making it perfect.

Dior’s Dior Addict
An old kid on the block, but one of my favorites for this Spring/Summer 2016 season. The mix of vanilla, florals and orange flower makes this such an attractive scent, and I initially fell in love with it when I smelled it on a friend.

Gucci Guilty Eau
Lighter than the usual fragrances I use and a new one from Gucci, this has top notes of musky, fruity and floral. The mix of musk and floral makes this a great daytime scent, probably something I’d throw into my beach bag.

Issey Miyake L’Eau D’Issey PURE
I must say, this is probably very different to anything I’ve ever fallen in love with before. So fresh, and so clean, no wonder I’ve fallen in love; the top note is a white floral followed by orange blossom, jasmine and lily.
