Ideal for… a chic happening French spot in the city

What they say: La Cantine du Faubourg opened its doors more than a decade ago, doing its “little turn on the catwalk” of Paris’ top fashion avenue, at n°105 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
What was previously a site for a bank quickly bloomed into one of the City of Lights’ most coveted addresses for a hip lunch, after-work drinks, dining and entertainment.
La Cantine du Faubourg’s creators, Pierre Pirajean and Helena Paraboschi are artists and sculptors: “La Cantine du Faubourg is more than a restaurant, it’s an artistic rendez-vous, a lifestyle statement. The concept relies on five key principles: sound, music, image, art and food. A hybrid gateway for celebrities and beautiful people from around the world, in search of their private playground and a multi-sensory experience.

What to order:
-Beef Tartare
-Avocado & crab salad (very refreshing)
-Lobster spaghetti (creamy)
-Truffle Pizza (only for the truffle and cheese lovers, me!)
-Eton mess (A martini glass filled with whipped cream, fresh meringue and berries)
Service: Ace service!
What I loved:
-The space, the vibe and all that natural light! It’s a great place for drinks at night too – if you need a fun night out that isn’t at a lounge or club.
-They have a gorgeous outdoor terrace, which they open when the weather is good i.e. bearable.
What I didn’t love as much:
-I loved the fact that it’s a sharing concept, but it doesn’t work too well with the main courses.  My sister got her dish around 10-15 minutes before mine arrived, which is not very fun for anyone.
