Ideal for… Italian fine dining with a Downtown view

Atmosphere: Even though it was nearly a full house for a Thursday night, the restaurant is quite cosy and quiet.

What they say: Al Grissino Restaurant and Lounge Dubai, to experience Italian fine dining at its best. Located on the 16th floor of the Emirates Financial Towers near DIFC, Al Grissino Dubai brings all the exceptional flavors of Milan to Dubai.
Al Grissino, which opened up in Milano, Italy in 1952 as a small trattoria, has now become one of the most famous and intricate dinning spots in the city. It is known for its exquisite cuisine, which sees the presentation of its starters as single individual bites, and holds a prestigious clientele ranging from renowned artists to public and social figure as well as politicians.

What to order:

-Burrata (super fresh, and the perfect Italian starter) – you can pair it with their Grissino salad with prawns and beef bresaola.

-Veal Milanese (one of my favourite mains, done the proper Italiano way)

-Citarrine pasta (Seafood spaghetti with King Crab)

-Lemon Tart (my favourite dessert – not your typical looking lemon tart, the biscuit pieces and the lemon curd was perfection)

What I loved:

-The view. The restaurant is on the 16th floor of the Emirates Financial Towers near DIFC.

-Al Grissino is a restaurant from Milano, which opened in 1952 and known for their Italian food and prestigious clientele including politicians.

-One of Dubai’s new restaurants in Downtown, which just opened in May.

-If you’re gluten-free, they have some gluten free pasta choices for you.

What I didn’t love as much:

-Make sure to pick your dishes wisely, as we had some dishes that were on point, and some that were average.

-A little more work on the chocolate fondant, feel like they could have done better.
