Ideal for… a relaxed and casual lunch

Restaurant name and location: Hamptons Cafe on Jumeirah Beach Road, Dubai
Cuisine: Cafe
Atmosphere: The whole place has a cosy at home feel. It was quite full for a weekday lunch, they seem to get a range of different people from locals, expats, all the way from really young to older crowd.
What they say: The Hamptons Café is a small family-owned chain of cafés in Dubai, UAE. The original Hampton’s location in Jumeirah Beach Road opened it’s doors in the spring 2014 after founder Khalid Hussain decided to spread his love of delicious baked goods and quality coffee to the local neighborhood.
Whilst we endeavor to source the best, locally and regionally, Dubai’s position as the leading regional trade center means many of our ingredients come from elsewhere. So, as much as our cooking is rooted in the European and American vein with an underlying touch of the Hamptons casual refinement, we relish taking the opportunity to incorporate many international influences.
What to order:
-Lentil salad (has figs, feta and butternut squash)
-Buratta (Incredibly fresh)
-Bresaola (comes with caramelised onions)g
-Pistachio and halawa milkshake (interesting arabic inspired milkshake)
-Sweet potato fries (loved them, wish they were crispier though)
-Macarons (As mentioned below, they are freshly made, the pistachio and vanilla were on point)

Service: The service could have been much better.

What I loved:
-They make their macarons freshly in-house and they do taste good. They have the classics as well as creme brûlée!
-The iPad menu, as well as the vast range of choices. I wanted so many things!
-The Quality of the ingredients. Everything we had was excellent.

What I didn’t love as much:
-The parking is not the best – you will have to hunt for a parking. I would imagine the evenings would be a nightmare.

Bill for two: AED200
