Salon Choice: SOH, Dubai
Where: Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road
The Salon: SOH is one of the coolest salons I’ve ever laid eyes on. Super Artsy, it’s a beauty and art concept. You get your beauty treatments done, and can even buy art pieces. Culture and beauty in one, love it.
Service: Incredibly sweet staff that are dressed in jerseys and converse, but do expect to wait. I’ve always come in with an appointment, but had to wait all 3 times I’ve been there sadly. That being said, the 3 minute massage that comes with every treatment does always get me in a better mood.
Brands: They use Redken for hair, and CND for nails.
Entertainment: No magazines here, only coffee table books – do bring your own entertainment. You can order your refreshments right from Home Bakery though.
Wi-Fi: Yes.
Atmosphere: Quiet, relaxed with a gorgeous setting.
Treatments: I’ve come in for a hair refresher, and nail art. Personally, I would mostly rave on the nails. From all the nail art in this city, SOH are really on another level. They have a wide range of design choices from Disney, minions to Kawaii nail art choices – and you can even show them any drawing/art, and they’ll draw it on your nails.
Another recommended treatment would have to be the Japanese nail art, I would highly recommend this to someone that keeps their nails bare as the shine stays there for a while, you don’t even need nail polish on! The Japanese manicure consisted of a dry manicure, cuticle work, a brightening mask as well as beeswax paste with a leather buffer for glossy nails followed by a powder buff.
