Beauty Notes: Spot busters

Clearing Gel: Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Clinical Clearing gel
This has to be one of my star products for the month – Salicylic acid really makes all the difference. This new Clinique product helps with skin irritation, redness and controls the oil levels on the skin. The scent isn’t too strong, feels tingly once you apply on the skin, and the gel seals through the skin so it’s not one of those spot treatments that show on your skin. The only thing is don’t apply it too often or it might thin out the skin.

Spot treatment: Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Spot treatment
I’ve been using this herbal treatment from Kiehl’s. All you have to do is apply it on spots and it helps clear out the skin. Made from gentle salicylic acid, cinnamon bark and ginger root – it dries out zits without being too harsh on the skin.

Primer: Murad Skin Perfecting Primer
Applying make up to problematic skin isn’t very simple because you don’t want to add more damage to the skin. For a primer, that really does help the skin – I love the Skin perfecting primer by Murad. Balances the oil, minimises the appearance of pores as well as giving you a dewy finish which evolves into a glow. A primer favourite.

Range: Estee Lauder Clear Difference
Estee Lauder have just launched their Clear difference range for clear complexions and their blemish treatment is great if most products haven’t been working for you. The blemish treatment is great as a spot treatment, works well for deep breakouts on the skin. The BB cream is a lovely light weight cream perfect for the day time with decent coverage and an SPF of 35, makes the skin look dewy and glowing.

Sensitive skin: Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot
A lot of products can be quite harsh on the skin so if you find your skin getting irritated easily, I recommend you try out this fab one by Vichy. Perfect for sensitive skin, and smells so natural and soothing – it’s a spot product that also helps minimise marks. The product that is paraben free includes hyaluronic acid and salicylic acid.
